This custom dry-bar is perfect for amateur mixologists or wine enthusiasts, while its contemporary design is sure to be a head-turner for cocktail party guests.
The initial renovation of this project was anything but straightforward. The wall was opened to move and modify outlets, return vents, and plumbing, while the space itself proved challenging with roughly eight inches of clearance room beside the expansive wall window. Cabinet filler was then installed and recessed behind the window mouldings to not only successfully accommodate the window, but also provide enough room for curtains or drapery.
The custom cabinetry utilizes 5-piece shaker doors in MDF with a striking, dark navy blue painted finish, while water glass upper cabinets offer some transitional accent pieces. In centre-stage, two expansive cherry shelves are perfect for displaying bottles and glasses, while their built-in lighting radiates the space.
With the primary kitchen area just off to the left, two features harmoniously pair the spaces together. An elegant, white quartz countertop with subtle flakes gives the bar and kitchen matching surfaces, while silver knobs and pulls furnish the cabinets throughout.
The deep, spacious base cabinet drawers are equipped with inner divider systems for optimal organization. Of course, no dry bar is complete without the perfect wine fridge, with this double-door stunner integrated flush between the base cabinets.
