Jim Deslaurier, Founder and Denis Staples, President of Deslaurier Custom Cabinets (DCC) announced today the sale of their ownership interest in the company and welcomed a number of new shareholders to the company. The new group of DCC shareholders includes:
Denis will remain in place as President until the end of this calendar year, after which he will focus on family, community involvement and his aging father, one of the former shareholders in the company.
Jim Deslaurier will remain in place in his current role and has no plans to leave the company. Jim will play a key role in customer retention, product development and will be an advisor to the leadership team.
Mike Deslaurier, Director of Operations and Tyler Leeder, Director of Finance and Analytics are now Deslaurier shareholders and represent key pieces of management and shareholder succession.
Bernie Ashe has been appointed to the new role of Executive Chairman. Bernie will support Denis in his transition and Bernie will lead and mentor the Management team through this generational transition.

The Sales and Design team under Bob Gould and the Distribution Sales team under Harold Hazen are best in our industry and are now even more prepared to meet the needs of homebuilders, remodelers and kitchen design centres in Ontario and Quebec.

Cyril Leeder is a successful prominent Ottawa businessman who was one of the founders of the Ottawa Senators and served as their President and COO for more than 15 years. He has been active in the Ottawa business community for over 35 years.
Bernie is an Ottawa businessman who was a successful CEO with three companies, AiT, KOTT Group and most recently Ottawa Sports and Entertainment Group (OSEG).
