As you'll soon notice, this list includes a large amount of 5-piece door construction. With that, we thought it would be useful to detail what exactly a 5-piece cabinet door style consists of.
As you might have guessed, 5-piece door are constructed out using 5 individual segments. A 5-piece cabinet door consists of one center panel, while two "stiles" (running vertically) and two "rails" (running horizontally) form the frame of the door.
Depending on the door profile, the joint where the stiles and rails meet will either be a miter-joint (each piece cut at 45 degrees to join at a 90 degree angle) or a butt-joint (two flat ends abutting against one another).
When it comes to kitchen design styles, 5-piece doors offer a wide variety of flexibility. 5-piece doors with a flat panel and sleek stiles and rails can be seamlessly integrated into anything from a streamlined modern design to a warm and airy transitional kitchen. 5-piece doors also offer the potential for raised center panels and more decorative stiles and rails. All of which can be used to achieve a more traditional cabinet design style.
At Deslaurier, all of our 5-piece cabinet door styles are available in birch, cherry, maple, oak, walnut, and rift-cut white oak. MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) is also available for a painted finish.
With that, let's get down to our list of the most popular cabinet door styles at Deslaurier!
